Educational Summer Fun

Although the season doesn’t officially begin until June 21, with Memorial Day now behind us, it feels like summer has already begun. If you’re like me you have mixed feelings about summertime. I don’t know what the weather has been like in your part of the country, but we’ve definitely had our share of rain where I live! Being cooped up in the house with little ones can be trying, but with a bit of planning you can find a rainbow in the clouds. Red Apple Reading has some fun educational activities to occupy your kiddo during those long rainy days!

In honor of this celebration of Women’s history, Red Apple Reading is sharing some of our favorite inspirational resources for girls.

Football Fans Score with Reading - Red Apple Reading

Football Fans Score with Reading

Football season is in full swing and if you live in the South (as I do), you know that we are serious about this sport! Football season is like a 5 month long holiday around here and like other holidays is filled with joy, fun, gatherings, food and hard feelings. I joke (kinda). Obviously, there are football fans all over the country and the nip in the air that comes with autumn signals the arrival of this beloved pastime. To be honest with you, I’d rather read a good book and leave football watching to my husband and sons. But really there is no reason that one has to choose between these two loves. Red Apple Reading has some fun ways that parents can combine reading and football for the little pigskin fans in their lives.

Fall in Love with Reading

Fall is here once again! A new school year, changing leaves, football games, and pumpkin pie are just a few of the good things we associate with the change of season. This year why not add reading to your list of fall favorites? If your little ones have lost their love of reading, autumn is the perfect time to rekindle a reading romance. Get ready – It’s time to “fall” in love with reading!
